Immediate use, hormone-free, relies on self-control and timing.
The withdrawal method, also known as pull-out method, involves the male partner withdrawing his penis from the vagina before ejaculation to prevent sperm from entering the uterus. This method requires no medical or hormonal intervention and can be used at any time. However, its effectiveness heavily depends on the male partner’s ability to pull out in time every time during intercourse. There is also a risk of pregnancy due to pre-ejaculate fluid, which may contain sperm. While it offers a hormone-free option, it’s less reliable compared to other contraceptive methods and does not provide protection against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
